(b) Within Service/Retired/ Died after retirement: A period of 6 months is given in age relaxation for ward of serving/retired ex-servicemen/died after retirement for recruitment in Indian Navy SSR Sailor.

Relaxation in Education Qualification

(a) SSR Sailor Entry Qualification: Simple 10+2/ Intermediate or equivalent examination passed with Maths and Physics and at least one of these subjects; Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science. No cut off marks will be applied for wards of serving/retired/died personnel for SSR Sailor Entry in Indian Navy.

(b) MR Sailor Entry Qualification: Simple 10th/High School/Matric or equivalent examination passed. No cut off marks will be applied for wards of Battle Casualty/ Accident/Died while in service persons for MR Sailor Entry in Indian Navy.

Relaxation in Written Examination Indian Navy Recruitment

(a) Written Exam Exemption MR & SSR Sailor: Written examination is exempted for Son/Wards of  Battle Casualty /Accident for Indian Navy Recruitment MR and SSR Sailor as per job info given below:-

(b) Died whilst in service: Son/ward of personnel who died whilst in service are exempted from written examination/ have to appear in written exam for MR & SSR Sailor recruitment in Indian Navy job info as under:-

(i) MR Sailor Score More Than 50% Marks: Wards of personnel who died in service are exempted from written examination for MR Sailor recruitment who scored more than 50% marks in required education qualification.

(ii) MR Sailor Score Less Than 50% Marks: Son/Wards personnel who died in service  have to appear in written examination for MR Sailor recruitment who scored less than 50% marks in required qualification.

(iii) MR Sailor 10+2: Son/Wards personnel who died in service  are exempted from written examination for MR Sailor recruitment Indian Navy, who scored less than 50% marks in 10+2/Intermediate exam.

(iv) SSR Sailor Score More Than 50% Marks: Son/Ward of personnel who died in service are exempted from written examination for SSR Sailor recruitment Indian Navy who scored more than 50% marks in required education qualification.

(v) SSR Sailor Score Less Than 50% Marks: Son/Ward of personnel who died in service have to appear in written examination for SSR Sailor recruitment Indian Navy, who scored less than 50% marks in required education qualification.

Written Exam for Wards of Serving/Retired Personnel: Son/Wards of Serving/Retired/Death after retirement, all such candidates have to appear in written examination for SSR Sailor Indian Navy, however they are entitled for grant of  bonus marks in final merit as per navy job info given below:-

(a) Bonus Marks MR Sailor Recruitment: Son/Wards of personnel died whilst in Service, who appear in written exam for MR Sailor category will allotted 08 Bonus Marks in written examination/final selection in Indian Navy.

(b) Bonus Marks SSR Sailor Recruitment: Son/Wards of personnel died whilst in Service, who appear in written exam for SSR Sailor  will be granted 08 Bonus Marks in written examination/final selection in Indian Navy.

(c) Bonus Marks SSR Sailor Recruitment: Son/Wards of serving personnel, who appear in written exam for SSR Sailor bharti will granted 05 Bonus Marks in written examination/final selection in Indian Navy.

(d) Bonus Marks SSR Sailor Bharti: Son/Wards of Retired/ Died after retirement, who appear in written exam for SSR Sailor recruitment will be granted 04 Bonus Marks in written examination/final selection in Indian Navy.
