Indian Army Agniveer GD Selection Process 2024: The Indian Army has become the world’s largest ground force, with approximately 1.4 million Soldiers. The Indian Army has a regimental system (सैन्य-दल प्रणाली) which is then divided into seven commands on the basis of operation and geographic location. The Indian Army is known as Thal Sena (भारतीय थल सेना) in Hindi, having the largest number of soldiers (सैनिक) in it.

विशेष सूचना: सेना भर्ती के लिए आवेदन से लेकर सम्पूर्ण प्रक्रिया निःशुल्क होती है किसी प्रकार का कोई शुल्क नहीं लिया जाता है। आर्मी में भर्ती होने वाले उम्मीदवार बिचौलियों एवं दलालों से सावधान रहें।

Indian Army GD is a part of the General Duty section, where the real defense, SOL exits, this includes the Rifle Man(RIF MAN) the land defense force, fighting troops, drivers, operators, gunners etc. And it also includes Army Service Corps (ASC) Army Medical Corps (AMC), Ordnance, General duties etc.

Below are the complete details about the Bharti process for Indian Army GD:-

1-Education Qualification:- In order to join the Indian Army in the GD category, the candidate must be metric/ 10th passed or some equivalent examination from a recognized board. So the minimum educational requirement is class 10th with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and a minimum of 33% marks in each subject.

Note:- 100 % अंको में से प्रत्येक विषय में कम से कम 33 % अंक और कुल मिलाकर कम से कम 45 % अंक होने चाहिए। यदि एक उम्मीदवार के पास 6 विषय है तो सबसे अच्छा 5 लिखा जायेगा। यदि कोई उम्मीदवार अतरिक्त विषय में फेल हो जाता है, तो वह भी इस पद के लिए आवेदन करने के लिए पात्र है।

2-Army General Duty Age:- To be eligible to apply for SOL GD (SGD) a candidate must be between 17 ½ years to 21 years old, as per his original documents. When the recruitment notification is released for a particular districts, state or zone, the date of birth in which the applicants DOB must fall as mentioned in that notification. The applicant must make sure that their DOB falls between the dates given in notification.

3-Nationality for Indian Army GD:- The defence government of India has set the following rules for nationality to join the Indian Army from the same or different countries.

(a)-All the candidates from India can join the Indian Army.

(b)-Candidates having the nationality of Nepal and Bhutan can join the Indian Army.

(c)- The permanently settled Tibetan refugee in India, who came to India before the 1st Jan of 1962 can also apply.

(d)-A person who migrated from Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Pakistan, Burma the United Republic of Tanzania, Malaur, Zambia, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam settled permanently in India can also join the Indian Army.

3-Marital Status:-The candidates should be an unmarried male following all the above paints.

4-Physical Standards and Eligibility:- In order to recruit the best candidates, there are sets of physical standards formed by the Indian Army. The physical criteria are as follows.

(a)- The Height:-Criteria for different states and districts are different. This criterion can be relaxed according to the region of the candidates and mostly for Gorkha candidates. See the below table for more information.

(b)- Minimum chest:- Chest required is 77 cm, and plus 5 cm after expansion.

(c)- The Weight:- The weight of the candidates should be in proportion with his height & according to his age.

The above are the physical needed for a candidate to qualify for Army SOL GD. These standards are decided by the Indian Army and no relaxation is given based on caste or category.

Following steps are required to become a Soldier/Sepoy in Army:- 

Application:- आर्मी भर्ती में जाने के लिए पहले ऑनलाइन अप्लीकेशन के लिए  www.joinindianarmy.nic.in पे one time रजिस्ट्रेस्शन करना होगा।

Medical Test:– मेडिकल टेस्ट फिजिकल टेस्ट आर्मी रैली के अगले दिन या फिर उसी दिन भी हो सकता है।  जो लोग पूरी तरह से फिट होते है सिर्फ वही लोग इस टेस्ट में पास होते है इसमें शरीर के हर एक अंग की जाँच होती है

Physical Test:- फिजिकल टेस्ट में 1600 मी० की रेस , पुल्ल अप ज़िग ज़ैग बैलेंसिंग और 9 फिट का खड्डा जम्प होता है। रेस के कुल 60 नंबर और पुल्ल अप्स के 40 नंबर होते है। इसमें हाइट, चेस्ट और वजन भी नापा जाता है।

Written Test:- Written Test के लिए एडमिट कार्ड मेडिकल टेस्ट के दिन ही दिया जाता है। इसमें 100 नंबर का पेपर आता है जिसमे 33 नंबर पास होने के लिऐ चाहिए। इसमें GK, GS, Math और लॉजिकल रीजनिंग से सवाल पूछे जाते है और 0.5 की negative marking होती है।

2)- Next, you will need to stay in touch with the official website and keep checking for recruitment in your state. Where ever there is an opening, the first thing you need to do is complete the online application process, you will have to wait for admit card. इसके बाद, आपको आधिकारिक वेबसाइट के संपर्क में रहना होगा और अपने राज्य में भर्ती की जाँच करते रहना होगा। जहां कभी भी एक उद्घाटन होता है, आपको सबसे पहले ऑनलाइन आवेदन प्रक्रिया पूरी करनी होगी, आपको एडमिट कार्ड का इंतजार करना होगा।

3)- The Army admit card will be sent on your registered email ID, or you can download it by signing in to your profile on the official Army website. The process of sending admit card usually starts the next day after the online application process is closed. सेना के एडमिट कार्ड को आपके पंजीकृत ईमेल आईडी पर भेजा जाएगा, या आप इसे आधिकारिक सेना की वेबसाइट पर अपने प्रोफ़ाइल में साइन इन करके डाउनलोड कर सकते हैं। ऑनलाइन आवेदन प्रक्रिया बंद होने के बाद आमतौर पर एडमिट कार्ड भेजने की प्रक्रिया अगले दिन शुरू होती है।

Note:-एडमिट कार्ड में सभी सूचनाओं की रिपोर्टिंग समय और निर्देश दी जाएगी। एडमिट कार्ड का प्रिंटआउट लेना न भूलें। मूल दस्तावेज़ों के साथ-साथ प्रत्येक दस्तावेज़ की कम से कम दो फोटोकॉपी भी अपने साथ रखें।

Step-2:Physical Fitness Test (PFT):-The physical fitness test is the most important step. Candidates should try to score maximum marks in PFT because the final merit list is made combining marks scored in PFT + written exam. Therefore, just qualifying is not enough you have to score the maximum possible marks following are the activities involved in PFT. शारीरिक फिटनेस परीक्षण सबसे महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। उम्मीदवारों को पीएफटी में अधिकतम अंक प्राप्त करने का प्रयास करना चाहिए क्योंकि अंतिम मेरिट सूची को पीएफटी + लिखित परीक्षा में बनाए गए अंकों के संयोजन से बनाया गया है। इसलिए, केवल योग्य होना ही पर्याप्त नहीं है, आपको PFT में शामिल गतिविधियों के बाद अधिकतम संभव अंक प्राप्त करने होंगे।

Height, Weight & Chest measurement

Height:- As soon as you reach the recruitment site, the first they will do is check your height and all those candidates who will not satisfy the minimum height requirement will be disqualified from the rally and will not be allowed to go any further.जैसे ही आप भर्ती स्थल पर पहुँचते हैं, सबसे पहले वे आपकी ऊँचाई की जाँच करेंगे और वे सभी उम्मीदवार जो न्यूनतम ऊँचाई की आवश्यकता को पूरा नहीं करेंगे, उन्हें रैली से अयोग्य घोषित कर दिया जाएगा और उन्हें आगे जाने की अनुमति नहीं दी जाएगी।

Weight & Chest measurement:- Weight and chest measurement can be done at any point of PFT, and if someone does not fully fill the required criteria, then he will be sent home right from there. So, make sure to check your eligibility before applying. पीएफटी के किसी भी बिंदु पर वजन और छाती का माप किया जा सकता है, और अगर कोई पूरी तरह से आवश्यक मानदंडों को पूरा नहीं करता है, तो उसे वहीं से घर भेज दिया जाएगा। इसलिए, आवेदन करने से पहले अपनी पात्रता की जांच अवश्य कर लें।

1-Mile run(1600 meter race):-It is the primary step of the selection process. In this, a candidate has to run 1.6 km within a set time limit. The hard part in 1600 meter race is not the timing or distance, it’s the competition as everyone participating in the race want’s to complete the race as soon as possible, therefore leaving no margin for those who are unprepared. Following is the marks distribution according to time. यह चयन प्रक्रिया का प्राथमिक चरण है। इसमें एक उम्मीदवार को तय समय सीमा के भीतर 1.6 किमी दौड़ना होता है। 1600 मीटर की दौड़ में कठिन हिस्सा समय या दूरी नहीं है, यह प्रतियोगिता है क्योंकि दौड़ में भाग लेने वाले हर कोई जल्द से जल्द दौड़ पूरी करना चाहता है, इसलिए जो बिना तैयारी के हैं, उनके लिए कोई मार्जिन नहीं है। निम्नलिखित समय के अनुसार निशान वितरण है।

Note:- ध्यान रखे कि आपको एक समूह में भागना होगा यानि कई लोग आपके साथ दौड़ेंगे, इसलिए यदि आप किसी तरह अपना संतुलन खो देते हैं और नीचे गिर जाते हैं, तो दूसरे आपके ऊपर दौड़ सकते हैं जिससे आपको गहरी चोट लग सकती है। इसलिए सुनिश्चित करें की आप सेना में दौड़ने के लिए तैयार हैं या फिर नहीं।

Pull-Ups:-They come after the 1.6 km running. Candidates are given marks out of 40 according  to the number of pull -ups they do, the more the pull- ups more the marks. The standard marks distribution for pull -ups  is as follows:- वे 1.6 किमी दौड़ने के बाद आते हैं। उम्मीदवारों को 40 में से अंक दिए जाते हैं, वे जितने पुल-अप करते हैं, उतने ही अधिक अंक खींचते हैं। पुल-अप के लिए मानक अंक वितरण निम्नानुसार है: –

Army GD Pull-ups marks distribution 

Remember, just qualifying is not enough. If you somehow do clear pull-ups with qualifying marks only, then your chances of making it to the merit list will reduce significantly. This is why it’s important to prepare for pull-up as well. याद रखें, केवल योग्यता पर्याप्त नहीं है। यदि आप किसी तरह से केवल क्वालीफाइंग अंकों के साथ स्पष्ट पुल-अप करते हैं, तो मेरिट सूची में इसे बनाने की आपकी संभावना काफी कम हो जाएगी। यही कारण है कि पुल-अप के लिए भी तैयार करना महत्वपूर्ण है।

9 Feet Ditch Jump:- In this test, candidates have to jump over a 9 feet ditch or hurdle. No marks are awarded for this part of PFT, candidates just have to qualify for this part. It is said that they give a candidate 3 attempts to clear this test, but one should try to clear this round on the 1st as you may not get another attempt. इस परीक्षा में, उम्मीदवारों को 9 फीट की खाई या बाधा पर कूदना पड़ता है। PFT के इस भाग के लिए कोई अंक नहीं दिए गए हैं, उम्मीदवारों को केवल इस भाग के लिए अर्हता प्राप्त करनी है। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि वे इस परीक्षा को क्लियर करने के लिए एक उम्मीदवार को 3 प्रयास देते हैं, लेकिन किसी को 1 पर यह राउंड क्लियर करने का प्रयास करना चाहिए क्योंकि आप एक और प्रयास नहीं कर सकते हैं।

Zig-zag Balance:- Just like 9 feet ditch, zig-zag balancing is also qualifying in nature i.e a candidate just has to qualify for this test and no marks are awarded for it. In this, the candidates will have to walk from one end to another end of a zig-zag shaped narrow wooded stand without falling. 9 फीट की खाई की तरह, ज़िग-ज़ैग बैलेंसिंग भी प्रकृति में अर्हता प्राप्त कर रहा है यानी एक उम्मीदवार को केवल इस परीक्षा के लिए अर्हता प्राप्त करनी होगी और इसके लिए कोई अंक नहीं दिए जाएंगे। इसमें अभ्यर्थियों को एक झिझक के दूसरे छोर से एक छोर से दूसरे छोर तक बिना कटे लकड़ी के आकार वाले स्टैंड से चलना होगा।

Though this part is quite easy to clear and you may be given 3 attempts to clear it, but it can be tricky sometimes. Since many participants walk over that wooden stand, therefore it can become slippery and hard to walk on. So, before you climb on it, make sure that your feet are well dried.

Step 3:Medical Test:- भारतीय सेना में शामिल होने के लिए, उम्मीदवारों को चिकित्सकीय रूप से फिट होना चाहिए ताकि वह अपने देश की सेवा अच्छे से कर सके। उम्मीदवारों को भारतीय सेना में शामिल होने के लिए कई मेडिकल टेस्ट पास करने होते हैं। 

The followings are the main points that are checked in a medical exam:-

1:- The candidate should not to be suffering from any mantle disease. The candidate should be free from diseases/disabilities and must possess a good physique. Candidates should not have body defects such as for overweight etc.

2:- The chest of a candidate should be well developed and in a good shape, there must be a minimum expansion of 5 cm during the chest measuring test.

3:- Candidates should be free from bone diseases and bone join defects, each important bone joint are examined during the medical test.

4:- Your hearing, viewing and speaking ability should be very clear. Candidates having diseases or problems in their ears, eyes and throat will be rejected.

5:- Candidates must not possess any diseases such as diseases related to the heart and vessels. The blood pressure should also be under the limits.

6:- Urine examination is also done during the medical process.

7:- Your teeth should be in good condition.

8:- The candidates must be free from communicable diseases and cardiovascular, infection, surgeries etc. The candidates should not have  a past of some mental disease. The nose, ear and throat must be perfectly working.

Medical Test:-The written exam which is known as Common Entrance Exam(CEE) is conducted after 21 to 30 days of the Medical Test. The written exam for SOL GD is also known as the NER exam. The CEE is conducted on the 4th Sunday of each month (except March, June, September and December) like other government job exams.लिखित परीक्षा जिसे कॉमन एंट्रेंस एग्जाम (CEE) के नाम से जाना जाता है, मेडिकल टेस्ट के 21 से 30 दिनों के बाद आयोजित की जाती है। एसओएल जीडी के लिए लिखित परीक्षा को एनईआर परीक्षा के रूप में भी जाना जाता है। सीईई अन्य सरकारी नौकरी की परीक्षाओं की तरह प्रत्येक महीने के 4 वें रविवार (मार्च, जून, सितंबर और दिसंबर को छोड़कर) में आयोजित किया जाता है।

Here are some important points related SOL GD CEE:

1:- The written exam will be an objective type which means that 4 options will be given for every question.

2:- The Paper will be bilingual which means that questions will be given in Hindi and English.

3:- A negative marking of 0.5 marks will be done for every wrong answer.

4:- Each question will carry 2 marks. A total of 50 questions will be given for a total of 100 marks.

5:- One hour (60 min) is given to complete the exam.

6:- Minimum passing marks are 32, this means that a candidate needs to score at least 32 marks to stay in the selection process.

7:- The exam will have 4 sections namely GK, GS, Math & Logical Reasoning.

8:- GK(15 questions, 30 marks), GS(15 questions, 30 marks), Math (15 questions 30 marks ), Logical Reasoning (5 questions, 10 marks).

9:- Candidates must try to score at least 70 to 80 marks in the written exam because the cut off goes really high for GD.

Mathematics Knowledge:- 15 questions, 30 marks

Logical Reasoning:-( 5 questions, 10 marks) The questions for logical reasoning will be based on the logical ability of the candidates of age group ranging between 16 to 20 years. Candidates should prepare a basic level of logical reasoning because the questions asked in the logical reasoning are not very hard.

Ranks for Soldier General Duty 

जैसा कि आप सब जानते होंगे की भारतीय सेना में एक GD सैनिक का भबिष्य बहुत उज्जवल होता है। सेना में होने के बहुत सारे लाभ हैं जैसे आपको मुफ्त चिकित्सा सेवाएं आदि मिलती है। सैनिक अपनी योग्यता के अनुसार सेना में कमीशन प्राप्त करके लेफ्टिनेंट से जनरल रैंक तक के अधिकारी बन सकते हैं। 

Now if you are wondering how high can you go in aspects of both rank and salary, then below is the rank and salary structure that GD SOL can go for-

1:- A Soldier GD is recruited for the post of Sepoy at the beginning. People at the rank of Sepoy are also known as recruits. The minimum starting salary of a Sepoy is Rs 21,700 (without allowances).

2:-The next post that you will be promoted to is lance Naik and after that Naik. The minimum salary of Naik is Rs 25,500(without allowances).

3:-After Naik, the next post is havildar. The minimum starting salary of a havildar is Rs.29,200 (without allowances)

4:-After the promotion of havildar, a person gets the rank of Naib Subedar, and from this rank onwards the Army personnel comes under Junior commissioned officer. The beginning salary that a Naib Subedar gets is Rs. 35,400 (without adding any allowances).

5:-The rank is Subedar and the starting salary is Rs.44,900(without any allowances)

6:-Subedar Major is the next rank for which the beginning salary is Rs.47,600(without allowances)

7:-If a person keeps getting timely promotion then he can reach the post of Honorary Lieutenant for which the starting salary is Rs.56,100(without allowances)

8:-Honorary  Captain is the highest post that a person recruited as a soldier can go. The minimum salary for Hon. Captain is Rs.61,300 (without allowances)
