Soldier Clerk Selection Procedure:- Soldier Clerk / Store Keeper Technical post is also known by names such as SKT and Inventory Management. Like any other organization, the Indian Army also consists of personnel, equipment, stores and inventory. There are multiple trades in Army that one can apply for. After SOL GD, Soldier Clerk or SKT is the most famous of all trades. Unlike GD, clerk is more about than physical, and need greater educational qualifications than GD. The written exam or CEE of Clerk is also much challenging than GD or Tradesmen. 

सोल्जर क्लर्क / स्टोर कीपर टेक्निकल पोस्ट को SKT और इन्वेंटरी मैनेजमेंट जैसे नामों से भी जाना जाता है। किसी भी अन्य संगठन की तरह, भारतीय सेना में भी कर्मचारी, उपकरण, स्टोर और इन्वेंट्री होते हैं। एसओएल जीडी के बाद, सोल्जर क्लर्क या एसकेटी सभी ट्रेडों में सबसे प्रसिद्ध है। जीडी के विपरीत, क्लर्क भौतिक की तुलना में अधिक है, और जीडी की तुलना में अधिक शैक्षिक योग्यता की आवश्यकता है। क्लर्क की लिखित परीक्षा या सीईई भी जीडी या ट्रेड्समैन की तुलना में बहुत चुनौतीपूर्ण है।

Indian Army Soldier Clerk Eligibility Criteria

Army religious follows the rules, therefore, if you do not satisfy any of the below mentioned eligible criteria of Soldier Clerk, then you will not be able to apply. So, read all the points carefully and then check your eligibility before you apply online.

Educational Qualification:- 10+2 / Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Should have studied and passed English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in Class X or Class XII with 50% marks in each subject.10 + 2 / इंटरमीडिएट परीक्षा किसी भी स्ट्रीम (कला, वाणिज्य, विज्ञान) में 60% अंकों के साथ कुल और प्रत्येक विषय में न्यूनतम 50% के साथ उत्तीर्ण होती है। प्रत्येक विषय में 50% अंकों के साथ दसवीं या बारहवीं कक्षा में अंग्रेजी और गणित / लेखा / पुस्तक कीपिंग का अध्ययन और उत्तीर्ण होना चाहिए।

Typing Test for Soldier CLK:- Typing test of 10 minutes duration will be administered once phase – ii of the Revised Recruitment System is implemented as part of the online computer based examination for Soldier Clerk / Store Keeper Technical / Inventory Management categories (If revised system is implemented).

Vocational Subjects:– Candidates with 10+2 Vocational Subjects are not eligible for Soldier Technical & Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical categories. They can apply for Soldier Tradesman / Soldier General Duty if meeting required percentage of marks in Class 10th.

Age Limit for Soldier CLK/ SKT:- Age for recruitment into Indian Army for Soldier Clerk/SKT category will be between 17 ½ to 23 years of age.

Note: Age for Relation Recruitment:– Variation up to 366 days in date of birth in Relationship Certificate and Education Certificate is acceptable as minor variation, however, any variation beyond 366 days will be treated as a major variation and candidate will NOT be eligible for enrollment under UHQ Quota. They may however apply through nearest ARO’s for selection as Open Cat candidates.

Marital Status:– Married candidates who are less than 21 yrs of age are not eligible for enrollment in the army. Any candidate below 21 years married to the widow of the deceased brother are eligible for instant enrollment, the case for waiver of the QR will be considered by Integrated HQ of Mod (Army) on case to case basis.

Physical Eligibility:- The physical eligibility for different region and state is different. It is possible that a candidate is physically eligible for one state or region and to be sure that he check his physical eligibility as per his state and then apply for the bharti.

Following are the physical standards for different region 

Relaxation In Physical Standard Soldier CLK or SKT relaxation

Soldier CLK Physical Fitness Test:- Following Physical Fitness Test (PFT) for Sol GD category are carried out. Total Marks awarded for PFT is 100 marks :-

1)- 1.6 Km or 1600 Meter or 1 Mile Run:- Candidates are divided into groups and there is no fixed pattern that how many candidates will be there in one group. Most candidates try to reach the Bharti ground as soon as possible so that they could get the benefit of standing in the front row of the group. So one should always try to be in the front row of the group to get a better start in the race.

2)- Pull Ups:- Right after the race, there comes a pull-ups round. This round is to test the strength of a candidate, and they are not like normal pull-ups, you will need to come up and go down on their instructions which will automatically make it difficult. As per the standards, a candidate has to do at least 6 pull-ups in order to qualify for the next round. The more pull-ups you do, the better it will be. The maximum limit will be 10.

3)- Chest Measurement:- After pull-ups, the Chest measurement is done. Firstly, a candidate should satisfy the above-given standards of the chest. If he fails to do so then he will be disqualified. At least there should be an expansion of 5 cm in the chest, else the candidate will be disqualified.

4)- Zig-zag Balance:- The balancing round is done to test the agility of a candidate. You will be asked to walk or run slowly on a zig-zag stand. You have to complete it without falling to qualify this round. The zig-zag balance should qualify and no marks are awarded for it.

5)- 9 Feet Ditch:- In this round, a candidate will have to cross a 9 feet long ditch by jumping over it. This round is done to test the courage of a candidate. Candidates have to cross the ditch without falling on it. This is the final round of the Physical Fitness Test. This has to qualify and no marks are awarded.

Soldier CLK/ SKT Medical Test:-A candidate should have robust physique and good mental health. Army Medical Test for Soldier category will be carried out as per for recruitment of soldiers. Main points for medical test are given below:

Visual Standard for Soldier CLK:- The visual standards will be 6/12 each eye OR Right Eye 6/6 and Left eye 6/24 in right handed and vice versa in left handed. (Authority: Army Headquarters letter No 62508/Rtg B(A) dated 11 Sept 2014)

a)- A candidate should not have hydrocodone, varicolored or piles for army recruitment.

b)- A candidate should not have knock knees, Flat Foot etc.

c)– For Army Recruitment a candidate should not have any disease of the skin which is likely to cause disability or disfigurement will also be a cause for rejection.

d)- Candidates must be free from diseases of ear, nose and throat and hearing should be normal.

e)- Should have a sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth i.e. minimum 14 dental points.

f)- The candidate must be in good physical and mental health and free from any diseases.

g)- A candidature should not have any bodily defects or overweight.

h)- Chest should be healthy and the minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cms.

i)- A candidate should have no past history of mental breakdown or fits.

j)- Blood pressure should be normal.

k)- For recruitment in the army the muscles of the abdomen should be well developed and there should be no enlargement of the liver or spleen

l)- There should be no disease of bones and joints of the body.

m)- Tatoo/ Engraving:- Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on the inner face of the forearm i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of the hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and the candidate will be barred from further selection. Tribes with tattoo marks on the face or body as per their existing custom and traditions will be permitted on a case-to-case basis.

Important Medical Instructions:– Candidates are advised to take on the following issued before reporting to medical examinations:-

a)- Clear wax of both ears.

b)- Get Treated For Hernia, Hydrocodone And Skin Diseases If Any.

c)- Body Hair On Private Parts Should Be Shaved.

d)- Take Proper Bath On The Day Of Medical Examination.

Written Exam Soldier Clerk/ SKT:– Written exam of Soldier Clerk category will be conducted by the army recruiting office as per direction of Headquarters Recruiting Zones on completion of physical and medical examination of the candidates. Admit card for Common Entrance Examination will be issued by the ARO or recruiting team.

Indian Army Soldier New Syllabus Exam Pattern

Soldier CLK/ SKT exam patterns:- Unlike other trades, the exam pattern of SOL CLK is bit different. The written exam comes in two part, and a candidate has to get 32 marks in each part to pass. Also, the aggregate of both the parts should be 80 or more than 80 to pass the written exam. The first part contains questions related to GK, GS, Maths and computer science. It will be worth 100 marks. While, part 2 contains related to General English, and this part will also be of 100 marks. Total 50 questions will be asked and 1 hour of time will be given to complete the exam.

Negative Marking in Exam:– Common Entrance Examination will have negative marking for Sol Clk, Soldier Tech and Nursing Assistant. The following marking system will be implemented :-

(a)– 4 Marks for every right answer.

(b)- 1 Negative mark for every wrong answer to Sol Tech, Sol NA/ Vet and Sol Clk/SKT cat.

(c)- 0 mark for answer left blank.

Relaxation in written exam SOL CLK

Warning:- Any candidate found cheating during the written exam will be disqualified.

Merit Sol Clerk/SKT:- Enrollment into the Army will be based purely on the merit list drawn as per instructions and restricted to the extent of available vacancies. More successful completion of screening tests will not confer any right to the candidate to claim enrollment into the Army.

Declaration of Result Indian Army:- The result of CEE will be published in Indian Army Website and thereafter the result will be displayed on respective ARO’s main office notice board. The dates of collection of call letters will also be displayed on AROs main notice board. The call up letters will be forwarded to candidates after one week of the declaration of results by registered post if not collected by the successful candidates in a week’s time.
