What is SSCW(Non Tech): SSCW(Non Tech) Means Short Service Commission Women (Non Technical) in Indian Army.

01. Eligibility Criteria SSCW (Non Tech): In UPSC entry, the women can join the army only through Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Entry Scheme. Detailed job info for women army entry SSCW (NT) scheme are as under:-

• Age Limit: Women candidates between 19 to 25 years of age are eligible to apply for the post of SSCW(NT) Indian Army.

• Education Qualification: Female Candidates having qualification Graduation/Post Graduation in any subjects are eligible to apply for SSCW (Non Tech) post Indian Army.

• Marital Status: Unmarried Girls Candidates.

• Written Examination: Female Candidates have to clear the CDSE for SSCW(NT) Job Indian Army which is held twice a year in July and November.

• SSB Interview: SSCW(NT) women candidates who are successful in the examination are shortlisted for SSB Interview.

• SSB Interview Date: SSB interview for SSCW(NT) Army will be held in June/ July and November/December every year.

• How to Apply: For selection in SSCW(NT) entry army, women candidates have to apply Apply Online on UPSC Website as per dates given in the Notification in the months of Jul and Nov.

• Training: Training for SSCW(NT) will be commenced during the month of October and April every year.

Indian Army Women Entry Schemes – Graduate Non UPSC – SSCW(NCC)

02. SSCW NCC (SPL) Entry Women: In Non-UPSC entry scheme, women can join Indian Army through NCC Special Entry scheme under Short Service Commission for Women. Eligibility Criteria and detailed job info for women army entry SSCW NCC Special entry scheme are as under:-

• Age Limit: Women candidates between 19 to 25 years of age are eligible to apply for the post of NCC Special Entry Scheme Indian Army through SSCW.

• Education Qualification:  Graduate Women candidates with 50% Aggregate marks, Two Years service in NCC Senior Div Army with minimum ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam are eligible to apply for NCC Spl Entry Scheme for SSCW Indian Army.

• Marital Status: Unmarried women candidates are eligible.

• Written Examination: There is No written exam for NCC Special Entry Scheme for Women in Indian Army except for a minimum of 50%  marks in graduation with a valid NCC ‘C’ certificate with minimum ‘B’ grade.

• SSB Date/Interview: SSCW NCC(SPL) women candidates are shortlisted for SSB interview to be held in June-July and December-January every year through respective directorates.

• How to Apply: For selection in SSCW NCC Special entry army, women candidates have to Apply Online as Notified in the Notification through NCC Directorate.

• Training: Training for SSCW NCC Special entry scheme army will be commenced during the month of October and April every year.

03. SSCW (JAG) Entry Women: In Non-UPSC entry scheme, women can join Indian Army through JAG Entry scheme under Short Service Commission for Women. Eligibility Criteria and detailed job info for women army entry SSCW JAG entry scheme are as under:-

• Age Limit: Women candidates between 21 to 27 years of age are eligible to apply for the post of  JAG Entry Scheme Indian Army through SSCW(JAG).

• Education Qualification:  Women candidates Graduate with LLB with 55% marks. Eligible for Registration with Bar Council of India / State are eligible to apply for Women Entry Scheme for SSCW (JAG), Judge Advocate General Branch Indian Army.

• Marital Status: Only unmarried women candidates are eligible to apply SSCW(JAG).

• Written Examination: There is No written exam for SSCW(JAG) Entry Scheme for Women in Indian Army Graduation with LLB with 55% mark.

04. SSCW (Tech) Entry: Women who have graduated in any of the engineering courses or are in the final year of engineering course are eligible to apply can apply for Short Service Commission (Technical) Women Indian Army. Eligibility Criteria and detailed job info about women army SSCW Tech entry scheme are as under:-

• Age Limit: Women candidates between 20 to 27 years of age are eligible to apply for the post of  SSCW (Tech) Entry Scheme Indian Army.

• Education Qualification:  Women candidates having Engineering Degree in notified stream or are in the final year of engineering course are eligible to apply for SSCW (Tech) Entry Indian Army.
